Word 2007: Taking Your Skills to the Next Level
Course Outline:
Most users, even users who have been using Word for a while, use only 10 to
20% of Microsoft Word's capabilities, and therefore miss out on some key
productivity and collaboration features that can save them time, make their
documents look more professional, and help them work for efficiently with
their audiences. In this class, we will provide demonstrations and thorough
explanations of many of these capabilities to help you take your skills to
the next level.
These include: Using Styles and Formatting, using Sections, creating Table
of Contents, using advanced Headers & Footers, inserting and managing
pictures, using columns, using tables and creating Table of Figures, as well
as tracking changes in a collaborative environment.
This class is a presentation only class. At the end of this class, you will
be able to access the online Web self-paced version of the class, so you can
review the demonstration covered, and implement them in your daily work. You
can also come back and visit the Mar 2nd class which will include a hands-on
lab of the above concepts.
This workshop covers key productivity and collaboration features, such as:
- Making documents look more professional by using styles to manage Formatting
- Creating an instant Table of Contents and Indexes and use advanced Headers & Footers
- Inserting and manage images, sections, columns, and Table of Figures
- Tracking changes in a collaborative environment
