Real Estate

A major mission of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics is educating real estate professionals and providing real estate practitioners with the information they need to stay on the cutting edge of the real estate field. The Center is committed to developing well-rounded, technically trained real estate analysts and managers, and is dedicated to providing real estate professionals with frontier information through executive education programs targeted for people involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.

Like the Center's academic programs and research, our executive education programs are geared towards promoting understanding and encouraging innovation in real estate finance and construction, land use, and urban and regional development.

The Center provides a dynamic context where academics and practitioner professionals can work together in a stimulating environment that integrates research, teaching and professional development. Our research provides intellectual support for program development, and our faculty and staff researchers are active participants as organizers and instructors, ensuring that our executive education program remains at the forefront of real estate theory and practice.

The Center applies for continuing education credit from professional organizations for our executive education programs to further benefit attendees. Past programs have been approved for between 7-9 hours of Consumer Protection Credit from the California Department of Real Estate, 7-9 hours from the California Office of Real Estate Appraisers, and 1 unit from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

The executive education programs are vital to the Center’s interaction with the real estate community and we continue to strive to develop and provide practical, professional programs. Suggestions from real estate industry professionals for program content or speakers are always welcome.
