Haas Accounting

About the Program

Haas Accounting, as a research discipline at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, spans a wide variety of broad subject areas, including empirical and analytical work in financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax, and auditing. Topics that have recently been addressed by our faculty include ABC costing and residual income, accounting valuation and financial statement analysis, transfer pricing, organizational design, the impact of information in the marketplace, and corporate disclosure strategies.

The accounting faculty offer numerous core and elective courses in the undergraduate, full-time and evening MBA, and Ph.D. programs. In addition, they maintain strong ties to the professional community through the school's Center for Financial Reporting and Management. Please read more about what we do for our students and our Ph.D. program.
