About the Program
Berkeley's Executive Accounting Program is designed to enhance leadership skills and equip financial executives with current knowledge and best practices as well as foster personal development in a changing business world. The program employs the best practitioners and academicians to engage the world's most promising manager in a transformational experience to manage more effectively and innovatively.
The program is designed for:

- IFRS/IAS Project Leaders
- Accountants/Corporate Accounting Consultants
This two-day interactive workshop is carefully designed to address teh prevailing concerns of today's financial executives. It provides a step-by-step overview of the technical issues involved in IFRS and the critical differences between IFRS and US GAAP.
The course answers questions such as:
- What are the current IFRS requirements?
- What changes are proposed, and what impact will these have on financial statement preparation, disclosures and financial performance reports?
- What are the critical differences between US and IASB standards?
- What items commonly appear in the SEC Form 20-F GAAP reconciliation?
- What are the prospects for international convergence of accounting standards?
- What issues are involved in moving from US GAAP to IFRS?
- What choices can be made when preparing IFRS financial statements?

The Woodfin Suite Hotel is about 10 minutes away from campus and the hotel will provide a free shuttle to campus at 7:00am and return to the hotel at 5:00pm for the days of the program.
