- Information on the projected start date of the program:
Pending approval from the University of California system, the earliest start date would be Fall 2010. If the program is approved and a start date is established, an email will be sent out to those who submitted an On-line Statement of Interest Form. - Information for students graduating before the projected start date of the program:
Our director is working on a "grandfather clause" to offer the same admission privileges to qualified former Haas students. - About admission requirements:
Please visit this page for the tentative admission requirements. Please note that these requirements are subject to change and applications are not yet open. - Distinction between Haas and Non-Haas students at Cal:
Cal Students (both Haas and Non-Haas) will have the same privileges to admission as long as the courses listed on the CFRM Accounting Program Guide are covered either at Haas or at an accredited community college, or through the Berkeley Extension Program. - Courses Taken Outside of Haas:
All courses taken outside of Haas to substitute for the courses listed in the Accounting Program Guide, must match closely with Haas School course descriptions. Courses taken outside of Haas that qualify for the 24 semester unit CPA requirement through the California Board of Accountancy will be acceptable to the MS program. (Please contact the Board of Accountancy to verify the eligibility of your courses taken.) - About Scholarships at Cal:
Scholarships are not available through the Center for Financial Reporting and Management (CFRM), however, there may be other avenues through which they may be available at Cal. Currently, our Center is not set up to offer this service. - About sponsorship and scholarship opportunities with the accounting firms:
Scholarship opportunities with firms and other organizations should be explored by the students. This is a private arrangement between the student and the firms. - Financial Aid:
The director is working with the financial aid department to make loans available to students pending the UC System-wide approval of this new degree program. More information will be posted on this webpage as it becomes available.
