Haas Basketball Club Play, Watch, Volunteer, Manage & Have Fun Through Basketball - We Love This Game!

Haas Basketball Club

The Haas Basketball Club, lovingly referred to as Haas Hoops, creates opportunities for Haas students, their partners and friends, to actively enjoy playing and learning about basketball. The club supports players and fans of all levels, interests, and genders.

This team-oriented sport also fosters collaboration and relationships that extend beyond the court. Haas Hoops organizes weekly playing time for all Haas students to play, volunteer, watch and participate in the game of basketball.

The club also provides opportunities for matches with other programs at Berkeley, as well as with other schools in the Bay Area. The club will support teams that participate in the Berkeley Intramural Sports competition, local basketball tournaments, as well as the Challenge for Charity (C4C) sports championship weekend at Stanford University.

Play... On the Haas Intramural Basketball Team (called "Some of Us Are Old Enough To Be Your Father), and scrimmage with other students on Friday mornings

Watch... The new-look Golden State Warriors fight for a playoff spot (see above), support the Cal basketball teams, or get together to watch March Madness and the NBA Playoffs

Volunteer... with the Special Olympics Richmond Buffaloes basketball team at the Hilltop YMCA or help plan a basketball clinic for local youth

Manage... your winning bracket in the Haas March Madness Challenge or participate in the inaugural Haas fantasy basketball league (H2H, 9-cat through Yahoo!) next fall

Email us if you're interested in any of our activities!  We're also open to hearing your ideas for other basketball-related fun.
