Entrepreneurs Round Table (ERT)
The ERT is a program designed to build bridges between the Haas School and the entrepreneurial community. It is an informal occasion to give students and entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet and discuss their ventures. To ensure an environment that fosters meaningful interactions, we limit attendance to approximately 50 entrepreneurs and 50 MBA/graduate candidates.
The event takes place in Spring. Please look for 2010 event details in early 2010.
VCIC

The UC Berkeley Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) is, in essence, a "reverse business plan competition".
Compared to traditional business plan competition, where teams participate as entrepreneurs seeking venture capital funding,
student teams in the VCIC assume the role of venture capitalists and evaluated and "fund" investment opportunities. This year,
six selected teams will evaluate real business opportunities presented by entrepreneurs currently seeking funding, while being
judged by experienced venture capitalists.

Ideas@Cal

Do you want to start a business? Are you looking for other like-minded entrepreneurs? Do you already have the next billion dollar idea? Do you need help in creating a business idea?
If so, then Ideas@Cal is your first stop. Our vision is to promote entrepreneurship at Cal by making it easier for students to navigate the process of starting a company. Ideas@Cal will hold ongoing events throughout the school year that are focused on:
1) helping student form startup teams and
2) helping students generate new business ideas
In addition, we will provide startup teams with a roadmap for how to get their company off the ground. Ideas@Cal has evolved from Ideas@Haas in order to encourage collaboration among all of the schools within Berkeley.

The Venture Capital Round Table is an annual celebration and networking opportunity for Berkeley students and the VC community and the Entrepreneurs Association's largest event in the fall semester. This event has successfully attracted over 40 VCs who get to meet the best Berkeley students in an informal setting. Berkeley students come with their ventures, plans and interests in the Venture community. If you are interested in a career in venture capital or want to network with venture capitalists then this is the event for you.
The 2009 event is sold out. We look forward to seeing those of you who have registered on Monday, November 9th.
