LAAE - Life As An Entrepreneur

Life As An Entrpreneur is an Entrepreneur Association student-led seminar featuring invited speakers during the fall semester. In addition, each week a small group of students will dine at the Faculty Club after the class with that week’s speaker.

The aim of the class is to introduce entering MBAs to the ups and downs of entrepreneurship as a career by those who have been there and done it.

ABSTRACT OF COURSE'S CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:

This 1 unit course has been put together by the Haas Entrepreneur’s Association to provide first-year MBAs with a high-level survey of the field of Entrepreneurship and Opportunity Recognition.

The course will expose first-years to entrepreneurs from organizations at various stages of development and representing a broad range of industries. Entrepreneurs will talk about how their organizations were created and share the lessons they learned. Additionally, the class will participate in active group discussion of a new venture idea offered by a student for consideration, development, and assessment. This discussion will be facilitated by the student coordinators with the input and guidance of the guest speaker and/or second year MBA students with relevant industry experience. This course is for both aspiring entrepreneurs as well as those simply interested in learning more about the field. For more info, visit: http://groups.haas.berkeley.edu/ea/laae/
