VCIC - Venture Capital Investment Competition

The UC Berkeley VCIC is, in essence, a "reverse business plan competition". Compared to a traditional business plan competition where teams participate as entrepreneurs seeking Venture Captial funding, the teams in the VCIC competition take on the role of a Venture Capitalist firm to evaluate and "fund" investment opportunities.

Entrepreneurs Association holds the annual UC Berkeley VCIC for those who are:

  • Aspiring venture capitals interested in a career in Venture Capital or Private equity
  • Entrepreneurs wondering how VCs make their funding decisions

Selection is comeptitive. Typically six teams, consisting of 5 students each, are selected to compete in the Berkeley Finals. The winning team is selected to proceed to the Regionals of the National VCIC competition in Los Angeles in March, and possibly to the VCIC National finals in North Carolina in April.

All students competing must be members of the Entrepreneurs Association. For more information, please visit: http://entrepreneurship.berkeley.edu/vcic.asp.
