The Haas
Finance Club
Finance Club organizes activities to assist members in evaluating careers
in finance and identifying current career opportunities, extend the
practical finance education with job-specific knowledge and connect members
with alumni and other finance professionals. Some of the club's more
popular events include the Firm Night in the fall, a recruiting trip to
Wall Street, Friday visits to local finance firms, happy hour gatherings
with alumni, information sessions about careers/companies, interview
preparation sessions and educational sessions on job functions.
Whether you are interested in technology
investment banking in Silicon Valley, running the corporate war chest at
Amazon, or leveraged buyouts on Wall Street, the Finance Club organizes
activities to ensure that members are prepared to achieve their goals
within the full spectrum of available opportunities at Haas. The main
industries of focus for the club include investment banking, asset
management, corporate finance and private equity. The club's success is attributed to its contacts with
leaders from all segments of the finance community, a close relationship with the Haas Career Services Office and an extensive
and active alumni network.
