A career in non-banking corporate finance involved assisting companies in generating fund necessary to support and expand business operations, planning mergers and acquisitions, ensuring future economic stability, and communicating firm value to an investor community. In a Corporate Finance position, an MBA may be responsible for financial modeling, merger/acquisition analysis, debt/equity structuring, cash management, financial planning and analysis, and strategic analysis. Success in this career is based on your ability to create financial plans that will maximize shareholder value in a long run.

| Before Haas, Laura, a PRC CPA, had many years work experience in both corporate
finance and financial management consulting. She has worked as a financial
manager for a major U.S. food company in Beijing, overseeing all financial
aspects of its representative office, subsidiaries and branches in China.
After that, she made a career change into financial management consulting and
led many financial transformation and performance improvement projects for
large Chinese SOEs. During the summer, Laura worked for Chevron in its
Financial MBA Leadership Development Program and got an extended full time
offer with her high performance. |

| Prior to Haas, Suwanna had more than four years of experience in investment
banking and value-based management consulting. She has worked on projects that included
debt restructuring, mergers and acquisition advisory, and venture capital. In the past summer,
Suwanna shifted from consulting to a corporate development with her role as a Senior Financial
Analyst Intern in the Corporate Development Finance Group at Amazon.com. In this role, she helped
the company identify target companies that Amazon should acquire for future strategic business
expansion into current and new businesses |
