In recent years, Haas School of Business has produced world-class research and student talent in finance. This has further raised the industry's already high expectations of the Haas students. To continue the momentum of meeting and exceeding these expectations, a much more structured and focused forum to exchange finance knowledge and best practices is crucial.
With that in mind, we launched the inaugural Berkeley Finance Conference last year. The only conference of its kind on the west coast, it was a phenomenal success, bringing together practitioners, students, and academia to discuss and share ideas and trends. This year, we will follow with our second annual conference, building upon last year’s strengths and accomplishments. The 2008 Berkeley Finance Conference will continue to explore current financial topics and challenges. Pertinent to the economic backdrop, this year’s focus is on “Navigating Through the Financial Turbulence.”
