Stephen Etter, Partner, Greyrock Capital

Stephen Etter is Partner at Greyrock Capital Group. Prior to joining the Greyrock Principals in 1996, Stephen held positions at GE Capital, Barclays Bank and Citicorp for the preceding 9 years where he focused on senior and mezzanine debt. From 1983 to 1987 he worked for Price Waterhouse where he obtained his CPA. Stephen received his undergraduate degree and MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, where he has been a Finance Lecturer for the past 10 years. Stephen is a member of Board of Directors for the San Francisco Giants Community Fund and currently serves as a Trustee on the University of California Berkeley Foundation.

Lisa Edgar, Managing Director, Paul Capital

Ms. Edgar is a Managing Director and has been with Paul Capital since 2003. She is focused on all aspects of portfolio construction, manager selection, due diligence and investment monitoring for the Top Tier venture capital funds of funds offerings. Prior to joining Paul Capital, Ms. Edgar was part of the asset management team at WR Hambrecht + Co that focused on new and emerging private equity funds. Prior to WR Hambrecht, Ms. Edgar spent 10 years at Horsley Bridge Partners, where she was responsible for providing technology research assistance for the fund of funds program, co-managing the public portfolio of venture-backed distributions and buying and selling private equity partnership interests in the secondary market. She began her career as an Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Ms. Edgar received a B.S. in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Pat Crocker, Managing Director, Harris Williams

Mr. Crocker has advised on numerous transactions during his career in investment banking, including sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments, initial public offerings, private placements, recapitalizations, and various strategic advisory engagements. He has over twelve years of transaction experience across a range of industries, including consumer products, industrial growth, energy, business services, retail and restaurants, transportation and software, among others. Prior to joining Harris Williams, Mr. Crocker worked at OffRoad Capital, the first Internet-based private equity marketplace, in San Francisco. Additional experience includes three years at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown in the Consumer/Business Services Investment Banking Group, the Boston Consulting Group, and the corporate finance division of Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Crocker earned an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College

Thomas R. Ley, Managing Director, Guggenheim Partners

Tom manages the West Coast for Guggenheim Partners’ Private Fund Group (“PFG”). PFG works with both Guggenheim funds and select third party funds to raise capital from institutional investors. In 2008, PFG raised over $3 billion for its clients. PFG is in contact will all major institutional investors in North America. Tom is a former member of the board of directors of Automatic Bar Controls, Polaris Pool Systems, Color Control, Energy Manufacturing, Williams, Inc., Gordon Sign, Patterson Gear, Imperial Products, Fallon Luminous, and TransWorld. Tom is married, has three children and lives in Orinda, California. Tom has a MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and an AB from the University of California, Berkeley.

Mark Briggs, Co-Founder & Partner, GESD Capital Partners

Mr. Briggs is a Co-Founder and Partner of GESD Capital Partners.  Mr. Briggs focuses on deal sourcing, acquisition structuring and related financing activities.  Mr. Briggs is also involved in firm strategy and management as well as investor relations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Briggs was a tax partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in San Francisco where he worked extensively with equity sponsors on mergers and acquisitions, tax structuring and related advisory services to clients in a variety of industries, including consumer products, financial services and telecommunications.  He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Briggs holds a BA degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a MS degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
