Fisher Center for the Management of Information Technology

Current Activities

 

In addition to our research activities, we are building interdisciplinary educational programs involving:

• Our Walter A. Haas School of Business
• Our College of Engineering (via our work with the "Management of Technology" program)
• Our Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS)
• Our School of Information

 

At this time, three of the above are represented on our Advisory Board:

• Richard Lyons, Dean, Haas School of Business
• David Messerschmitt, Chm. Emeritus of EECS
• AnnaLee Saxenian, Dean, School of Information

 

Our other current activities include:

• The Silicon Valley CIO Roundtable – oldest & largest such in Northern California
• The San Francisco CIO Roundtable
• The Fisher Center + Center for CIO Leadership Annual Conference (October 6, 2009)
• The Emerging Technology Showcase (co-sponsored by us and the Haas Technology Club and the Digital Media & Entertainment Club)

 

In addition to these, we will soon be starting:

• A monthly Executive Lecture series (for students, by Advisory Board members)
• A Research Seminar series
• A Silicon Valley Information Technology Management Roundtable
