The Fisher Center for the Management of Information Technology and the Center for CIO Leadership are co-sponsoring The CIO Leadership Salon: CIOs: Leaders of Change, Drivers of Innovation, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009.


This invitation-only Salon will feature two globally prominent IT thought leaders and visionaries with a set of unique perspectives as keynote speakers: Bruce J. Rogow, previously EVP for Global Research at Gartner, and Hal R. Varian, Google’s Chief Economist and co-author of “Information Rules: A Strategic Guide to the Network Economy”.  This Salon will provide participants with a unique forum to discuss the critical aspects of leadership that drive strategic advantage through technology and the keys to advancing innovation in an increasingly demanding and high stakes environment. 


Following the keynote presentations will be an interactive panel featuring, Robert Fort, CIO & Vice President of Information Technology, Virgin Entertainment Group, North America; Marina Levinson, SVP & CIO, Network Appliance; Art Money, former Chief Information Officer, Department of Defense; and Todd Pierce, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Pharma North America, Genentech.  The panel will provide additional insight and perspective on leadership and innovation.  This Salon will focus on sharing ideas and applying specific actions for CIOs to address today.
