Fisher Center for the Management of Information Technology
Current Research Projects
- Research Project #1 - This project was formulated by the Fisher Center's Faculty Director, Associate Prof. Terry Hendershott, and by Professor John Morgan, the Gary & Sherron Kalbach Chair in Entrepreneurship, Haas School of Business. This project will use extensive sales-related data from a prominent local retail clothing firm. Data analysis will be performed by Haas School students under the guidance of Haas School faculty and our Center's newly hired Research Scientist, Tom Lee.
- Research Project #2 - This is our now in-process METRICS PROJECT with sixty-six Northern California CIOs being surveyed using a metrics template developed jointly by the CIOs of LSI and KLA/Tencor. Coby Dunn, a Principal of the Sequoia Strategy Group, LLC, is leading the data collection, distillation and analysis effort on a Pro Bono basis.
- Research Project #3 - Nineteen Renaissance CIOs have been selected by a committee of five globally respected IT management experts. We will next study the careers of these Renaissance CIOs to identify the common factors that led to their extraordinary career success - careers that have had a major, beneficial and enduring "competitive advantage" impact on both their employer and on its industry.
