The number of positions, instructors, and appointment percentages are subject to change. The overall appointment percentages, number of hours and total compensation amounts are not finalized until perspective candidates receive a Letter of Appointment from the Haas School of Business.
GSI's and Readers with single or combined appointments of 25% (170 hours) or greater, are in good academic standing with the University of California, Berkeley and are enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program, are entitled to receive a partial fee remission.
First-time GSI's hired during the spring 2010 semester must attend the central campus GSI Conference scheduled for Friday, January 15, 2009 from 8:30am - 3:30pm in Dwinelle Hall. International students must attend the GSI Conference scheduled for Thursday, January 14, 2009 from 8:30-3:30pm in Dwinelle Hall.
Non-doctoral graduate students hired as first-time GSI's hired during the spring 2010 semester will also need to attend the MBA300 Pedagogy course which is typically held during the first week of instruction on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
First-time GSI's and Reader's will need to attend the New ASE Orientation which is held by Labor Relations. Typically, four orientations will be scheduled during the month of February and first-time GSI's and Readers will need to attend one of those orientations.
