Welcome to the Haas Healthcare Association

The Haas Healthcare Association (HHA) is a student run organization based at the Haas School of Business that aims to both educate students on the multi-faceted nature of the healthcare and biotech industries as well as connect students with industry alumni and professionals. The HHA was formed in early 2007 by the merger of two student organizations: Healthcare@Haas and the Berkeley BioBusiness Association. Our organization encompasses a comprehensive network of students, alumni, academicians and key professionals from across:

  • the Haas School of Business
  • the greater UC Berkeley community
  • engineering, medical, public health, public policy, and law schools from the Bay Area
  • the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic industries
  • provider organizations (hospitals & physician organizations), technology and health plans
  • related service industries (consulting & investment banking)

Our network also includes:

  • entrepreneurs
  • venture capitalists
  • other associations and business schools

Last year’s speaker series covered topics including: starting a med-device company, bringing biotech drugs to market, business development in bio-pharma, and strategic consulting to the life-sciences.  We are in the process of putting together another great line up of speakers for this fall’s series, which begins in late October.
