Introduction

The Microsoft Campus Agreement provides some of the most commonly used Microsoft Applications (Office, Project, Visio, etc.) and one of the most used Microsoft operating systems (Windows XP Professional) to Faculty, Haas Staff and PhD Students.

*Note - Only Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows XP Professional Upgrade are available for Home Use.

AT HAAS

• Note these installers will only work while you are logged in at Haas with your Haas Domain Account and if you have local administrative privileges on your workstation.
• Your computer must have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed (see link to install below)
• You must install the Haas .NET Security Update BEFORE running any installers (or they will not work!)
• You will also need to make sure you have a drive mapped exactly under the letter W on \\ls\winapps, so that your path looks like this: W:\\ls.haa.berkeley.edu\winapps
• You must be a member of the faculty, Haas staff, or PhD groups to install this software. Other Haas computing account holders are not contractually eligible for installation of the software.
• The software must be installed using the HCS provided installer script to ensure that we meet the contract requirements for recording each installation of the software.

Update Microsoft Office 2003 To Service Pack 2
Click To Start Installation of Service Pack 2

Please click on the link to the software package you wish to install.

A dialog box will appear warning you about untrusted software.

Click OPEN to initiate the installation.

You will receive another warning message asking if you wish to run this particular program.

Click RUN to continue the installation process. The Haas Computing Services Software Installer will then launch.

The Haas Computing Services Software Installer displays the Microsoft Campus Agreement. Please read the agreement, and check the box indicating that you agree.

You can then click INSTALL to continue the installation of your particular software product.

Once you have clicked INSTALL and are further prompted by the Microsoft Installer, you may CLOSE the HCS Software Installer.

Follow the prompts of your particular product to complete the installation and you are done.

AT HOME

The MCCA Work At Home Rights is no longer being offered by Haas. Please check back shortly for updated software eligibility for At Home Use.

As a Microsoft Consolidated Campus Agreement (MCCA) customer. Haas may grant to the faculty and staff the right to use a second copy of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows on either a home or portable computer for work-related purposes.

Special media has been specifically created for these MCCA Work at Home Rights. This media can only be installed twice and is available at a cost of $10 each. Currently available media are:

Steps To Obtain Software For Home Computers

1. Submit Helpdesk ticket with the name of the software you desire and the chart-string to charge
2. Print, complete and sign the Acceptance Form (pdf)
3. Return the signed Acceptance Form to Jeff Yenchek in Haas Computing Services

Note: HCS can not process your order for Work at Home media until Jeff has your signed acceptance form.

Installation

Insert the distribution CD in your home computer and follow the installation instructions on the CD.
