How do I Set up a Vacation Message in Outlook Exchange?
The Out of Office Assistant feature in Microsoft Outlook is a Microsoft Exchange Server service. It is
available only when the Exchange Server transport service is included in an Outlook user's profile.

Select I am currently Out of the Office, and in the box "AutoReply only once to each sender with
the following text", enter the message that you want to be sent on your behalf while you are out of the
office. We recommend that you try to be as specific as you can, for example give the exact date when
you will be back and who can be contacted while you are out.

Note that you can also set up additional rules in the second box, where it says: "These rules will be
applied to incoming messages while you are out of the office:" For example in the illustration below
messages coming from the address chihuahuita@hotmail.com are set up to be copied to the folder
"Forward" and forwarded to paz_C@berkeley.edu as they arrive.
Click OK when done setting up additional rules.

When you are satisfied that you have set up the correct options in the Out of Office Assistant, click OK.
