Teams from Haas regularly compete in a number of finance- and investment-related case competitions.

The competitions
- Allow students to get solid first-hand experience,
- Help students prepare for interviews,
- Give career switchers the chance to expand their skill set, and
- Provide networking opportunities with both professionals and other MBA students.

ABI Corporate Restructuring Competition

Advise a distressed company on strategic and financial options as it makes its way through the bankruptcy process.

Cornell Stock-Pick Challenge
Late October

Research a company and develop an investment recommendation to present in front of a panel of judges.

UNC Alpha Challenge
Mid November

Propose a pair trade from selected set of stocks.

Chicago National IPO Challenge
Early November

Value a company and put together an IPO pitch that will convince the Board of Directors to award your team the mandate to underwrite the IPO.
