Dear Current, Past and Future Members of the Haas Leadership Club –

Our perspective on developing one’s personal leadership style is that, above all, one must have an evolved “sense of self” to truly develop his/her own. This sense of self is something that traditional business school classes and activities can help you work toward – but something more is needed to help complete the journey. Our goal in founding the leadership club was to actively create an environment within which the “rest” of that personal journey could take place – rather than to leave it to chance and hope that it happened passively. The leadership club’s offerings and external face will evolve but we expect, at its core, the club’s principal purpose will always be to create that environment, to enable that search and to empower students with a deep sense of self. We hope many wonderful and unique leadership styles will spring forth from the numerous, talented Haas student who join this club.
