The mission of the Leadership Club is to provide students at the Haas School of Business with tools and resources to understand leadership and to develop their own leadership capabilities.

Leadership is a very broadly used word. What is the concept of leadership? There is not one right answer for this question. The meaning of leadership varies from person to person.

The first aim of the Haas Leadership Club is to provide the opportunity for students to explore and understand the role of a leader from a variety of perspectives so that they can develop their own leadership style.

While the definition of leadership remains open to interpretation, there are some general tenets of leadership that are widely accepted.  Leading is about connecting with and inspiring people to work together toward a common goal.  It is about helping people realize their potential and providing the proper conditions and motivation for them to succeed.

Therefore, the second objective of the Haas Leadership Club is to provide students with practical activities that will help them in their development.
