Vandita Lakhani, Co-President Prior to attending Haas, Vandita spent four years in Finance at Bank of America and at Morgan Stanley in New York City. At Morgan Stanley, Vandita spent two years as part of the US Biotechnology Equity Research Team where she performed both qualitative and quantitative research on over 15 companies in the sector and communicated investment conclusions based on this research to clients. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree in Finance and Business Honors from the University of Texas (Go Longhorns!). After Haas, Vandita plans to pursue a career in Brand Management at a consumer packaged goods company. Chris Petersen, Co-President Chris comes to Haas after five years working in aerospace at Boeing. Chris worked in Product Management at Connexion by Boeing, a wireless internet service for passengers, and in product strategy for the Commercial Airplane group. Chris moved to Seattle in 2005 for work and lived there until returning to his home state of California for grad school. After graduation, Chris is looking to move into the technology industry with a focus on consumer-technology products. In his free time (whatever that is) Chris has been playing guitar for 14 years, dables as a photographer and enjoys hiking and international travel. chris_petersen@mba.berkeley.edu |

Beth Favorite, VP of Speakers Series Beth graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Prior to Haas, she worked as a biologist for 3 years, then spent 2 years at Merck working on clinical trials for cancer drugs. Using her experience in both the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, she hopes to pursue a career in marketing within these industries. Currently, she lives in San Francisco with her fiancé and enjoys watching TV (Tivo is her best friend), music, painting, and travel. beth_favorite@mba.berkeley.edu |

Soo Jin Hwang, VP of Marketing and Communications Prior to attending Haas, Soo Jin spent 3.5 years at MediaVast Inc. in New York City. As Director of Business Development, she focused on developing the company’s overall market strategy for mobile products and managing partner relationships. She received a BA in Economics from Barnard College. In addition to HMC, Soo Jin is also involved with the Asian Business Conference and >play conference. Pooja Jain, VP of University Relations Pooja earned a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology & Society from Stanford University. After graduating from Stanford, Pooja kicked off her career at The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm. Prior to Haas, Pooja spent three years as an Analyst at venture capital firm Sequoia Capital. Here at Haas, Pooja also serves as VP of the Digital Media Entertainment Club (DMEC) and Entrants Co-Chair for the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC). pooja_jain@mba.berkeley.edu |

Hilary Seling, VP of Community Prior to Haas, Hilary spent six years working as a management consultant with Accenture, focusing on process and technology assessments and business case development. She is currently pursuing product management and corporate strategy roles within the technology industry. Hilary earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from WPI in Worcester, MA and graduated with high honors. Outside of Haas, Hilary enjoys snowboarding, triathlons and international travel. Margaret Yang, VP Speakers Series Before coming to Haas, Margaret spent five years working in the retail industry for Gap, Inc. Most recently she was a Merchandiser for GapBody and before that worked in the New York Design office. In her role in Merchandising, Margaret was responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the Sleepwear division. Building on the skill she developed at Gap, Margaret is looking to expand beyond the retail sector and work in Marketing in the CPG or Tech industries. Margaret grew up in San Diego, CA and received a BA in French Literature and European Studies from New York University. Jason Topel, VP of Career Development Jason graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in operations research and engineering in 2001. Prior to attending Haas, he spent three years working for Barnes & Noble in New York City, where he managed technology projects that focused on improving store operations and customer service. He also has experience as an IT and operations consultant within the financial services and healthcare industries. At Haas, Jason is focusing on general management and marketing, and hopes to work in a consumer-oriented technology company after graduation. In addition to the Marketing Club, Jason is also the VP of Admissions for Q@Haas, and is involved in the Technology, Consulting and Wine Industry clubs.
