The Pacific Rim Club welcomes all students who are interested in exploring the business dynamics and cultural diversity of the Pacific region. In the fall semester, the club sponsors a Firm Night that allows Berkeley MBAs to meet with prospective employers and to learn about job opportunities in the Pacific Rim. The club also gives students a chance to experience the rich and diverse cuisine of the Pacific Region with its twice-annual Asian Consumption Function, a party held in the Haas courtyard. The club's biggest event happens over winter break. For two weeks, students can join the annual Pacific Rim Trip and journey to the East for a unique opportunity to visit companies and explore the sights of Asia. Past trips have included travel to China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. In addition, the club features regular events, such as cultural dinners and speakers on business-related issues. Pacific Rim Club members were also very involved in the Berkeley Asia Business Conference in Spring 2007.
