The UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate is planning an exceptional program for our upcoming 35th Annual Real Estate & Economics Symposium on November 19, 2012. At this time, more than ever, it is important for practitioners in the real estate, finance and legal professions to have the most up-to-date information and analysis of the forces impacting our nation and the world. The theme for the conference will be, "Real Estate Markets, the Recovery, the Election and Beyond." KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
Kenneth T. Rosen, Chairman, Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, UC Berkeley, will share his highly-regarded real estate forecast, outlining how the current political and economic environment will affect real estate markets and how they might impact us in the future, and, offering his insightful analysis of our current economic situation.
John Chiang, Controller, State of California, has demonstrated both great skills and dexterity at managing and controlling the State's finances during very difficult times. He is a thoughtful participant and analyst in the workings of State of California government financing as well as an innovator for increasing State of California governmental financing efficiency. His governmental financial reform proposals include changes for the State's public pension system, special assistance to local financing authorities in these difficult times, and protecting California's natural resources.
