Kathy Kim
Ms. Kim is the President of the Communications Technology Cluster (CTC).
CTC is a business incubator providing strategic and business services for
startup companies in telecommunications and information technology. CTC has
graduated over 15 companies who have raised a combined $220M in venture
capital. She brings to CTC a wealth of entrepreneurial experience as well
as deep vertical expertise in the healthcare industry. Most recently, she
was founder of venture-backed Vitalz, a leading provider of web-based
patient encounter management solutions for healthcare institutions. Ms. Kim
also founded Sokoke, Inc. a biotechnology research and consulting firm
focused in
ecotoxicology and endocrine and remains Chairman of the Board. Ms. Kim
helped create a joint development company between Healtheon Corporation and
Brown & Toland Medical Group in 1997. Ms. Kim was also a senior
consultant with Arthur Andersen. She holds a Bachelor's degree in biology
from Harvard University, a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters
of Public Health from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business and the School
of Public Health.
