The following officers
will be leading the efforts of the South Asian Business Association for the
2009 calendar year.

Vineet
Tanwar, Co-President
Vineet Tanwar grew up in north India, studied in
south India, started working in western India and worked in Eastern India
for most of his career. He is Mechanical Engineer by education, with
research fellowship in Cryogenics Engineering. In his professional
career, he has worked in sales and product management across automotive,
retail banking and online gaming industries. He has extensive experience
in managing corporate relationships, building distribution channels, and
managing product life cycles. Not only his background, but his taste in
music, food and movies also symbolize diversity. An avid cricket fan, he
is a music aficionado with taste for some of the most obscure ghazals
ever sung. When he is not reverse singing some of the Bollywood numbers,
he likes watching movies and catching up with friends.

Karan
Dua, Co-President
Karan is a Certified Public Accountant and received
his undergraduate degree in business administration from California State
University Fullerton. Prior to Haas, Karan spent the last five years as
an auditor for Ernst & Young in Orange County, California. At
Ernst & Young Karan, primarily consulted companies in the technology,
biotechnology, real estate, and manufacturing industries. Karan is an
active member of a number of of clubs on campus and is VP Careers for the
Entrepreneurship Association and Business Manager for HaasWeek.
Karan grew up in Delhi and is an avid follower of the
Indian Cricket team and the Los Angeles Lakers. In his spare time,
Karan enjoys golf, cricket, volleyball, bhangra, cooking and
sailing. Please feel free to reach out to Karan if you are

Anup
Anajpure, VP Finance
Anup grew up in Bombay, went to undergrad in Mumbai, went to grad school
at Penn State before entering corporate life. His background is in
Operations Research and he worked in Healthcare Consulting while based in
Princeton, NJ. He worked at a big consulting company and then in a
startup environment before deciding to pursue his MBA. Anup loves to
travel and has been to about 25 countries thus far (Italy was the last
one is Liberia is next). He also loves to trek and has been on trekking
expeditions in the Himalayas, to Machu Pichu, Peru and to hills around
Berkeley. When he is not travelling, he can be found enjoying a game of
squash/ tennis or attempting to improve his golf swing or hanging out
with friends and watching movies or playing trivia.

Nishma
Udeshi, VP Marketing
Nishma grew up on Long Island and moved to New York City
to do her undergraduate work at NYU's Stern School of Business. Prior to
Haas, she spent five years working as a Certified Public Accountant at
Ernst & Young in New York. Finally tired of the cold East Coast
winters, she decided to pursue her MBA at Haas. After business school,
she is interested in pursuing a marketing career with a focus on brand
management. At Haas, Nishma is also involved in the Haas Marketing Club,
DMEC, and Women in Leadership. In her free time, she enjoys cooking,
visiting Napa, traveling, and spending time with friends.
