The Finance Summit II
February 27 – March 5, 2005
Revelstoke,
British Columbia, Canada
The second,
annual Finance Summit conference, an
international workshop in finance, will take place at the Coast Hillcrest
Resort Hotel in Revelstoke, British Columbia, during the week of February
27-March 5, 2005. We envision both academic and practitioner participation. The
workshop is designed to foster the exchange of ideas in an informal setting
between groups of financial economists who otherwise would not have this
opportunity to meet and interact.
Organizing Committee:
Jonathan Berk, Haas School of Business (UC Berkeley), Joshua Coval, Harvard Business
School, Espen Eckbo, Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth).
Those
interested in presenting a paper should contact Jonathan Berk directly, preferably
before November 15, 2004.
Given the nature of the workshop, space is limited. If you are interested in attending the
conference, you should contact Joshua Coval. Information about the conference can also be
found at our mirror
site at the Center for Corporate Governance.
A typical conference day consists of
skiing activities in one of the most spectacular skiing locations in the
world. There will be one seminar length
(1˝ hour) single-session evening paper presentation. Participants are welcome
for all six evenings, or shorter stays.
Last year’s introductory workshop was an unqualified success. If you would like more information, take a look. Skiing
activities, which may include heliskiing, cat skiing, downhill skiing, cross
country skiing, and snowmobiling, take place at participants’ own expense.
