WIL Conference   In the spring, we host our annual Women in Leadership Conference, the longest running student-organized summit at Haas. This event attracts over 400 female business leaders and participants from the Bay Area. Past participants include Jenny Ming, President of Old Navy; Donna Dubinsky, Founder and CEO of Handspring; Patricia Woertz, Executive VP of ChevronTexaco (ranked #8 on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business); and Beth Sawi, Chief Administrative Officer of Charles Schwab & Co. "Real Deal” Lunches   Have a topic you would like to discuss over lunch with your peers or a subject matter expert? Come join our lunch series, where we cover topics of particular interest to our membership such as salary negotiations, work-life balance, family planning/questions.

Gender Communications Workshop   Discuss communications styles, socialization and conflict management as it applies to the work place. How does your non-verbal communication vary with each gender? How have your work experiences influenced your attitudes about what a male or female employee should be like? How have you been socialized to behave since your childhood? These topics and more are discussed in depth.

Fall Retreat - September 24, 2005   We kick off the school year with a fun and relaxing retreat in the wine country. This opportunity to get acquainted with fellow members over wine and a tour of the Napa Valley is always a big hit! The event price includes a light bagel breakfast and Haas and transportation to Napa and back. We'll be stopping at Copia, St. Supery, Markham, and Cuvaison. Box lunch, cheese tastings, snacks on the bus, and a catered dinner are also included. Wine will be flowing freely throughout the event.

The cost of the retreat is $110. You can sign up on-line - note that we do charge a small amount to cover on-line processing costs. If you become a member of WIL when you sign up for the retreat, you get one year's membership (a $20 value) free.

Click here if you'd like to sign up for the retreat.
Women and Wine   Our monthly gatherings provide an opportunity to relax and unwind over great wine, appetizers, and conversation in the intimate setting of a classmate’s home. Additionally, be on the lookout for our latest excuse to gather and drink as we host “Babes and Beer” night in San Francisco on St. Patrick’s Day!

Community Service   As active members of both the Haas and the surrounding Bay Area communities, WIL members join to volunteer services once each semester at a local not-for-profit organization focused on women’s issues.
