WIL
As
women at Haas, we appreciate and contribute to its collaborative
culture and entrepreneurial spirit. Female student comprise an integral
part of our leadership program. Women founded two of the preeminent
business plan competitions among business schools – the Berkeley
Business Plan Competition, one
of the preeminent business plan competitions in the country and the Global
Social Venture Competition, the
largest social venture competition in the world that combines
profitable bottom line or self sufficiency with a social or
environmental mission. Additionally, many of the clubs at Haas are run
by female presidents and officers.
WIL provides many social,
professional and wellness

Women’s
Workshop: The
Women's Workshop attracts over 120 women who are considering applying
to one of Haas' MBA programs and want to learn more about the value of
an MBA degree. The day-long event will include a keynote address,
information about the admissions process, alumni and current student
panels, a networking lunch, an afternoon reception and tours of the

WIL
Conference: In
the spring, we host our annual Women in Leadership Conference, the
longest running student-organized summit at Haas. This event attracts
over 450 female business leaders and participants. Past speakers
include Alice Waters, Chef and Author, Proprietor Chez Panisse; Laura
Alber, President of Williams-Sonoma, Inc.; Cammie Dunaway, EVP of
Nintendo; Mitchell Baker, CEO of Mozilla; Jennifer Maxwell, Co-Founder
of PowerBar; Anita Roddick, Founder and CEO of The Body Shop; Jenny
Ming, President of Old Navy; and Patricia Woertz, Executive VP of
ChevronTexaco (ranked #8 on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in
Business).

Annual
Fall Retreat:
The school year kicks off with a fun and relaxing retreat in beautiful
wine country. Whether this is your first time visiting wine country or
your one-hundredth, this opportunity to get acquainted with fellow
members over wine and a tour of the Napa Valley will be a day to
remember! The event price includes a light breakfast, team building
activities, winery tours, lunch, tasting, dinner, and transportation.
This is a banner event - spots are always sold out early!

and Wine: Our
monthly gatherings provide an opportunity to relax and unwind over
great wine, appetizers, and conversation in the intimate setting of a
classmate’s home.

Group Dinner:
Great opportunity to bond with like-minded people over tasty food and
drinks. We pair you up with other members (up to six) and make dinner
reservations for you.

Running
for a Cause:
Whether it's for a 5K or a Marathon, WIL members gear up to train,
laugh, sweat, run and explore the beautiful Bay Area.

Community
Service: As
active members of both the Haas and the surrounding Bay Area
communities, WIL members join to volunteer services once each semester
at a local not-for-profit organization focused on women’s
issues. |
